About the role

You will own the code-level side of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central engagements — writing AL extensions, building integrations, designing custom reports, and preparing environments for upgrades. You will work alongside our functional consultants, translating their functional specifications into clean, maintainable AL code, and partnering with clients’ IT teams to land complex customisations without breaking future upgrades.

What you'll do

• Design and build AL extensions for Business Central — table, page, and codeunit extensions built to upgrade-safe patterns
• Build integrations between Business Central and external systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and Power Platform connectors
• Develop custom reports and document layouts (RDLC, Word) to match client templates
• Prepare and execute Business Central version upgrades — analyse breaking changes, migrate customisations, and run regression passes
• Own the AL CI/CD pipeline — source control, automated builds, and deployment to sandbox and production environments
• Support functional consultants on complex implementations where standard configuration is not enough

What we're looking for

• Hands-on experience writing AL for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Strong understanding of the Business Central platform — event subscribers, interfaces, permission sets, and the extension model
• REST API integration experience, including OAuth flows and JSON data handling
• Comfort with the VS Code + AL toolchain and the Business Central sandbox/symbol workflow
• Clean code and git habits — branching discipline, code review, and readable commits

Nice to have

• MB-820 (Business Central Developer Associate) certification
• Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for AL CI/CD
• Experience integrating Business Central with Power Platform (Power Automate, Dataverse)
